Viewing logs in Sport climbing!

Serena, Davide and I started from just below Julierpass (2150m) and went to the summit of Piz Campanung, 2826m(1.5-2 hrs). Beautiful powder and bluebird skies :-) We decided to ski down the other side to get more northerly facing snow because the sun was pretty hot. We skied down about 800m of amazing powder slopes and then because the conditions were so nice we skinned back up to another summit (2860m). Then we skied down the whole way to the lake Marmerera (1708m). Absolutely magic day with amazing snow . Happy out!!!!

Nice couple of slab routes with Mauro and Jeff up at Bianco before dinner. Getting dark at 7.30pm now!

I spent the day with the Smyth crew up at the climbing crag a Lirone. Hot day but we were pretty sheltered in the trees so it was super nice. They all did great! Lucia also led her first route (sport) as did Brían, and did really well. :-)

Diarmuid arrived this afternoon and pretty soon after he wanted to go climbing :-) Went to Drago for a few hours of nice relaxed climbing in preparation for tomorrow in Albigna...

Super nice evening climbing at Lirone with Jeff, Mauro Cami and Pozzo. Did 5/6 lovely slab routes before heading home for dinner with a smile on my face :-)

Our first time climbing at Vho, Jeff and I did a few routes before dinner. It takes some getting used to, as the climbing style and the rock is very different from anything else around here. The grades are also pretty sandbagged. But fun climbing!

The routes we wanted to do were jammed full of people in the morning so we went for a hike to get a look up towards the Rifugio Gianetti (on the Italian side of Badile). Then after lunch we came down and had the place mostly to ourselves to climb in peace. Really fun route: la coda del dinasauro (5c, 140m).

In less than 30 minutes!
